We all have our local go to’s when it comes to cafes and brunching in Melbourne.
Short Straw in Hawthorn is up there on my list of go to cafes in Melbourne.
If you’ve ever been there you would have seen the communal bench up the back. Its my favourite place to sit when eating there, and love that I’m not restricted to a tiny little table.
As per usual my favourite dish would have to be the smashed avo and the avocado art. Another must try dish would have to be the Stacks on Waffles with caramelized bananas, lemon curd, whipped cream and chocolate macarons.
If you’re looking for your Hawthorn local, Short Straw is a must visit.
